I just watched the controversial film Fitna produced by a dutch politician in youtube. A shocking film as it cited Koran verses and displayed terror attacks such as the Sept. 11, 2001 and London bombing committed by those who claimed to represent Islam.
As a Muslim, I condemned those attacks, but this film also did not make things better. The film confuses people as it focused on how some fellow Muslims negatively interpret some Koran verses such as Jihad. It’s unfair to do so.
However, this also reflects that our religion still has a lot of homeworks to do to convey the message that Islam is peace.
The film/video needs maturity to watch so please be careful with your children.
