In 2006, Soekarno-Hatta was the world’s 30th busiest airport. Not so bad, no so good. The airport’s ethnic architecture is amazing, but it seems inferior to neighboring countries’ airports such as KL, Singapore, and Bangkok.

Tips: For first time visitor, it is better to find someone who will pick you up in the airport, otherwise you will find it confusing once you get in a taxi. As far as I am concerned, the taxi is not reliable except you look for premier taxi called silver bird.

Although the airport taxis have been put in order, still there are many flaws in the management. Not good enough. Too aggressive and not so kind to visitors, it doesn’t matters you are local or foreigners. The toilet is also relatively not clean compared to other airports in the world.

Good thing is that smoking area is available. That’s the main gate of Jakarta and my country, but don’t get me wrong because once you go to many destinations in the country like Bali, Yogyakarta, Manado, Lombok, Papua, Maluku, Ende, Maumere, Nias, your stress in Jakarta aiport will be just nothing. The beauty of my country is just overshadowed by the airport poor

maintenance.
