More than 500 bloggers showed up in the first blogger gathering, dubbed Blogger Party 2007, on Oct. 27 in Jakarta. A number of mainstream media in the capital covered the event. 150,000 bloggers are registered in the country with a possibility of doubling in the next six months. The country’s internet users are estimated to reach 25 million this year, up from 16 million in 2005.
Meanwhile, newspapers in nine big cities were read by 11 million people and a survey institute has reported that the newspaper readership continued to decline.
Do these facts imply something?
